I'M A WINNER, AGAIN!

Okay, so here is just a quick post to tell my good news that happened on Friday morning. As I was driving into work, I was listening to the local country station on the radio. Every morning they do a thing called 'secret sound' where they play a snipit of a sound and then everyone calls in and tries to guess what it is for a prize. Sometimes I think I know what the sound is, but I have never been able to get through. On friday, the sound sounded to me like popping the metal top off of a can of Spam. A bunch of people had called already and gotten their guess wrong, so I thought, well, I'll give it a shot. So, I called about 4 times and finally got through on try 5. I told him what I thought the sound was, and he told me I was wrong. I was thinking, oh well, at least I tried, when he said, "I'm getting tired of nobody getting this right, so I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what the answer is and then you say it back to me and you will be our winner!" I thought that was strange, but said ok! He then told me the sound was popping the top off of an aerosol can (like hairspray). Now, many of you know the extent of my acting skills.... NONE! So, when I said it back to him it sounded retarded and forced. But, he just recorded that part and I was the winner! So, I got free dinner at Cafe Sabor in Logan and I also got entered into the end-of-the-month drawing for a big prize. So, everyone cross your fingers and hope that I can win again-even though I don't deserve it! :)

Yes, it's a Tag...

Okay....

I have never done a tag before... I have been tagged, but never actually done it. Emily tagged me about my 6 unspectacular quirks. I naturally assumed I didn't have any, but Stuart 'helped' me to remember a few. :)

1. I tend to bring my nails up to my mouth like I am going to bite them, but I don't actually do it. I'm not sure why I do this, I think it's a nervous habit, and definately unspectacular.

2. When I get stressed out I rub my eyebrows. I know, it's strange, and I didn't realize I did it until Stuart pointed it out one day. I don't rub them back and forth, I kind of just flatten them against my face.

3. I hate putting away laundry. I don't know what it is about it, but I absolutely HATE it. We can literally have a clean pile of laundry sitting on our chair in our bedroom for a whole week. I'm sure it drives Stuart nuts (although not enough for him to actually put it away either!).

4. I have to be touching Stuart somewhere when I go to sleep. It can be a foot, or a hand or anything, but I have to touch him. I'll even just scoot my bum over and have it touch him. I guess I am very needy!

5. Another sleep one... I have to have covers on. Even if it is blazing hot I need something covering me. It can just be a light sheet, but I must be protected from whatever it is that attacks people without covers on!

6. I hate to loose to Stuart. It doesn't matter what the game is (video game, board game, hangman), I hate to loose. This is especially difficult because he is a bit of a cheater. So, he tends to win a lot. I can loose to other people and be a good looser, but not to Stuart. I take it personally and usually get mad at him. Needless to say, we play most of our games as a team now! :)

Okay, there they are... now that I think of it, I probably have a lot more. Oh well! I tag Sarah and Whitney.

HALLOWEEN 2008!

Well, we had Halloween Party this year at our house and it was a ton of fun! We really appreciate everyone that came and would like to thank you all for being good sports! Here are some of our guests:

Well, it looks like Mom and Dad came! I know these costumes are very convincing, but it's really just Paul and Stuart!

Here are the Bytheways, Whitney was a Lortab (her new friend since her spinal headaches after having Hadley 1 week ago), Paul was Mom Cutler, Sesaly was a cowgirl on a horse, and Hadley was a hot dog!

Here is the Heaton Tribe. Blake originally had a loin-cloth on, but Lauryn and Celeste vetoed it. Jaq's cute little headband said "Little Round Belly". They were very cute! Here is Heather, Justin and Kaden... Heather was Einstein, Justin was an Aggie fan (?), and Kaden was a little greaser!
Dad the convict (note the tatoos) and Mom the homemaker (just kidding!).
Celeste the Oriental, and Stuart dressed as, well, Dad!

Annaka and Heidi... our cute cowgirls!

Helen, our frightening Tongan.

Bobbing for Worms!

Now, this game is a knock-off of bobbing for apples... but since that is disgusting to have everyone stick their faces in the same water, we did bobbing for worms in cool whip! There were 7 gummy-worms in the bottom of each bowl of cool whip and each person had to fish them out with only their mouths (and obviously faces!)... Blake and Stuart enjoying mouthfuls of cool whip!

Paul, Dad (with his face in the bowl) and Justin... I guess they had to come up for air.

And here is our winner, Blake! Horray!

Mummies!

This was our Mummy wrapping contest... each team was given 4 rolls of the cheapest toilet paper ever and they had to wrap their mummy the fastest and the best...
This team consisted of Dad, Mom, Paul, and Helen...

This team had Heather, Blake, Annaka, and Heidi... notice Sesaly and Kaden just staring... they weren't sure what to make of all of this...

This team was obviously the best of all, it included Justin, Stuart, Celeste and Lauryn.

Here are our finished mummies! Heidi, Lauryn, and Helen! It was a blast!

Rootbeer Drinking Contest

We had a rootbeer drinking contest also! Justin almost won, but Stuart made him laugh and this is what happened! Poor Kaden got ice-cold rootbeer all down his back! Unfortuantely Justin was disqualified for loosing some...

Here is Blake and Stuart chugging away!
And here is our winner, PAUL! By the time he was done, his eyes were watering and he had a few burps to share with us. :)

A Story About a 4-Wheeler...

This is the sad but true story of a beautiful yellow 4-wheeler. This poor little 4-wheeler has had it's share of adventure in it's short 14 month life. It all started back on July 27th 2007 when it was given as a birthday present to Celeste...

It was a very happy day for this shiny, new 4-wheeler. But, this was not to be a happy day for this poor little machine. Nope.... sadness was lurking right around the corner. Only hours after it's first ride a terrible accident happened. Luckily (due to the fast thinking of a certain person) no people were hurt, but the same can not be said for the young 4-wheeler...Although the dear little thing must have been in tremendous pain, not one complaint was heard. We thought for awhile that perhaps she wouldn't pull through, but after a few months and repairs later, she was back, good as new.

But this is not where this sad little 4-wheeler's story ends. No. You would think this would be enough, but it goes on.

One year later, a recall was given for a part on this 4-wheeler, so back it went to the shop with it's friend (Stuart's ATV). But, a few weeks later when it was time to go home, the little yellow 4-wheeler was not to be found on the repair lot. What had happened? Well, the MORONS at the repair shop had sent her home with another family. Ironically with the last name of Brown. So, after a special trip to Providence the IDIOTS at the repair shop finally returned her to us. I can only hope that is the end of this poor little 4-wheelers adventures. It seems like more than any machine should endure.

Happy trails little 4-wheeler....

Raging Waters!!

Well, Michael and Sherry invited us on their family adventure to Raging Waters. We had a BLAST! This is Stuart and me... just hanging out in between runs on the slides. I didn't get a picture of it but I, Celeste, went down the huge 43' drop slide! It is 7 stories high and you can go up to 40 MPH. Yes... and it gets better... I went TWICE! I was very brave... and it was kind of fun. :) Of course Stuart, Michael and Sherry went off it much more and Stuart and Michael were getting amazing air off of it... but I am just proud that I did it!
Aren't we an attractive couple?

Here are Michael and Sherry's cute kids! We had a blast! Thanks for inviting us!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STUART!

Stuart spent his birthday in the Uintahs. So, we haven't really celebrated yet. But, he's the big 29! He decided that he needed some more bass for his jeep, so here he is installing the sub-woofer from the Beast Truck. Running wires...
The amp and sub-woofer... the amp is under the back seat now.
More technical stuff... it sounds great though!
This is Stuart's main birthday present. He actually got it early, but we decided he needed it for Bear Lake. It's a great deck... it plays right off of our Ipods. Yeah!

Stuart's Scout Camp

Stuart is in the Young Men's in our ward. This year the teachers went on a high-adventure up to Red Castle in the Uintahs. It was a 4 day camp. It was going to be 5 days, but 4 was enough for them all! :) Here is Stuart ready to go... I was very sad. Thanks Whit for the help!
I can't really say much about these next few photos... cause I wasn't there...
This was their camp.

They did some fishing in a river. They actually caught the fish by hand. It sounded really fun!

Stuart's Lip

So, Stuart had this thing inside of his lip that looked like a huge bubble. It was a gland that was clogged (at least I think) because of getting hit in the lip. Well, last August we had the dentist look at it, and he removed it by cutting it out and stitching Stuart up. Well, it came back a few months later, bigger and stronger. So, we took Stuart to a dermatolotist (aka Heather) and they lazered it. It looked extremely painful, and I guess it was. Anyways, this is a few days after it was done, so the swelling had gone down... but you can still tell his bottom lip is huge! (By the way, he was trying to look miserable in this picture) This is a picture of the inside. It looked even grosser a few days before this was taken. It's been a week and a half, and now it's starting to hurt him. Yuck!

Brower Family Photos

While the Brower family was at Bear Lake, we had some professional photos taken by Julie Kirby (simplyouphoto.com)- a cousin of the Browers. She did an amazing job! I've posted just a few here.
Here is the family picture! We had to do a funny one!
Then we pulled up the two jeeps to have some fun pictures on.

Here are the girls getting their picture taken...
And here are the Brower Men!

Before/After Jeep photos

Here is a picture of Stuart's jeep before driving through the gross mud and then after. We didn't get a picture of what we looked like, but we were COVERED with mud. When we got home we cleaned up the jeep, and it took forever.

Jeeps!

We took the jeeps off-roading up at Bear Lake. It was a ton of fun! I love our jeep!!! The first picture is of Stuart and Michael coming down a VERY steep hill. The middle picture is of Stuart and Michael after doing a little off-roading... Michael bought Stuart's old Willy's Jeep. The last picture is of Michael and Sherry in their jeep.
