Halloween 2007!

This first picture is of our very first trick-or-treater in our house! What a cute little kangaroo! We had a fun Halloween party on the 31st. We had a great time and most everyone dressed up. We had yummy soup in 'pumpkin' bread bowls and lots of treats!

Here we are for Halloween. Stuart was a Hawaiian Woman... Celeste was a cowgirl (thanks to Helen's chaps!) and yes, we have yet another sighting of the illusive M-Elvis!!!

Here are the Heaton's. Blake was a 'sexy' pirate, Lauryn was a ball-park go-er and little Jaq was the cutest little hot dog. Blake got a little bit snacky. :)

This is the Bytheway family. Whitney didn't dress up... or did she?!? Paul was a cowboy on a bucking bull... and Sesaly was an adorable little kangaroo!

This is Mom's impromptu costume.... yes, she is a tacky maiden!!! How did you guess? Was it the lipstick on her lips? If she had shown up on my doorstep like this, I would be scared!

Here's Annie, Mom and Dad ... Mom and Dad's costumes left something to be desired!! Dad does have a pony tail hat on... in case you can't tell.

This is Annie for Halloween. Very sexy for 16 years old!

Swimming!

Stuart, Blake, Lauryn, Paul, Whitney, Sesaly and I all went swimming at the Aquatic Center here in Logan on Satuday. We had a ton of fun!

Here are a few more photos of swimming last Saturday!

Countertops!

Here are the photos of our countertops! They are all installed now and look great! We are so happy with how good they turned out. Stuart did such an amazing job at measuring and installing them! Now we will stain them with an acid stain and then varnish them with a food-safe clear coat.

More counter top photos.

Here is our rail that was put in this week also. It looks kind of strange, because we were in the process of staining it.

The bottom caps will be against the wood on the spindels. Stuart is showing us how fun it is to do sweat-equity in your home! :)

Here are our concrete countertops. They are in their molds in these pictures. The circles in the middle are the cut-outs for the sinks. We are hoping to do an acid stain on them that is supposed to look pretty neat. Then we will finish them with a clear coat to protect and seal them. Hopefully they will turn out okay!

Cabinets

Well, here are our cabinets installed. Also our lights were put up this week. The cabinets were not the color I wanted, but now they are growing on me. Our builder actually brought out a sample of the wood I was supposed to have and I don't like it with our wood floors (which you can't see in the picture). Our builder is giving us a great deal on the cabinets and throwing a bunch of stuff in for free because of his mistake. So, it all worked out in the end!

Here is our pride and joy! The shower in the master bathroom. It is grouted now, but I forgot to take pictures. This turned out so good, but it sure was a lot of work. The shelf had to be moved after we started tiling due to it being too far up. And the bench was tough to design. But, it all worked out good in the end and we love it!

Here is the paint job. We love the colors and they make the house look so warm and comfortable. I had no idea paint could do so much!

Here is my ugly red wall. It is no longer red. It is tan now and will soon have a dark brown stain on it. This is all that I painted of the red, and realized that I hated it. It was supposed to be maroon. It was ugly.

This is the front (and back) of our house. They put up more of the siding and they finally put our roof on! Thank goodness!!! It's looking so nice and we are very happy with the colors. It's hard to see the back of the house, because we have a huge hill of dirt they need to move back around the house before we move in. But, it gives you an idea.

These are our beautiful wood floors! They look so wonderful! They are really dirty in these photos, but they look much better when they aren't dusty. Stuart had a great idea to put the border pieces in, and it gives it a very finished look.

We are very happy with them!

This is our Master Bathroom. We found this tile at Home Depot for only 69 cents a square foot! We were originally going to put in tile that was over $1.50/square foot.

This was such a great deal, we decided to put it in both bathrooms on the floor and our laundry room. The hot pink area is going to be our shower... that's just the primer.

Here are the photos of our hall bathroom. This was more of that great 69 cent tile!

Siding!

They started siding our house this week... the back

is 1/2 way done, and the one side is complete! In the front, there will be brick up to the bright orange lines. Our shingles also got delivered... now if they would only put them on the house!
