Why is Ali Crying???

Why is Ali whining and crying and giving me THIS face?

Well, it's because she would really like this bear to fit into this chair...

No matter how hard she (or I) try, it's just not working.

She has a small tractor that she always brings to me and wants her dolls to fit on it... same problem. 
Life can be rough when you are 2!

Arts & Crafts

I put together some 'mess-free' art for Ali the other day, finger paints inside a plastic bag.

She smooshed the paint around a bit... scratched at the bag, then decided it was a great place to put her snack.

 

She got all her fish on the bag then ate them off one at a time.  She eventually scratched through the bag, and that was the end of arts and crafts for the day!

Reading

Just a taste of what Ali sounds like when she 'reads'!  It sounds like the sound is cutting out, but that's just her cute little voice!  :)

Diaper Queen

Ali was working hard today on getting a bunch of diapers on...

It makes me a little bit nervous why she would need so many diapers at the same time!

Let's hope she doesn't need them all at once! :)

Week 21

There are certain things you just don't get to do when you adopt a baby vs have one yourself.  One of those is the belly shot to see how big the baby is getting... so here is my compromise, fruit of how big the baby is each week!

Our little baby girl is the size of a pomegranate this week!  I know it looks like an apple in the picture, but it really is a pomegranate!

Adopting Again

We are so excited that we are adopting again!  We are having another baby girl and we just know she will be beautiful!  Our sweet little baby is due on February 2nd.  It seems like it's so far away, but then I think of all I have to do to get ready and it seems pretty quick!

Our new birth-mom is such a sweetheart and is making this whole process so easy and fun for us!  We are currently awaiting the ultrasound pictures in the mail! 

We can't wait till next year! :)

Light Reading

I guess Ali feels as though she has mastered picture books... the next step is a 500+ page novel, right?

French Braid

I french braided Ali's hair the other day... I've been very nervous to try... she tends to be a little wiggly. :)

It turned out so great though!  It stayed in very well too!

Stowaway II

Stuart had another campout with the young men in our ward, Ali would've really loved to go with him!  She tried this last year too, check it out here.

I'm sure she would've been tons of fun backpacking and camping!!

Riding Naked

When you ride your horse this fast, when you just got out of the tub and have lotion on.... bad things can happen.

You fall off and cut your chin. :(

But not to worry, she got dressed and got right back on (a different horse)!
As a side note, this girl is NOT a cryer when she gets hurt.  She holds it in and just wants a snuggle.  It breaks my heart.  I want her to feel like she can cry if she is sad, but she just handles it!

Hold Me!

These are Ali's cute little 'hold me' hands.  I love it!  I see this all the time and 90% of the time I pick her up... wouldn't you?!?

I love that she wants to be held even though she is so independent these days and loves to walk.
