Ali is 3! The Cake

Tasting the cake a bit before doing the whole candle/song thing.

Yes she is folding her arms.  Her favorite song right now is "I Am A Child of God" and they must fold their arms in Nursery.  We were singing Happy Birthday, but she felt the need to fold her arms anyways!

Then she saw the flames on the candles and thought she would grab one... but Aunt Whitney was quick and saved her from getting burned.

So, she didn't blow out any candles, this girl doesn't need a birthday wish, she's already spoiled!

Maybe this is the 'proper' way to eat a cupcake so you don't get all messy.

 

She finally gave in and picked it up!

We did a little fish craft...

Right after this picture was taken Ali crumpled her fish up.

Halloween

On Halloween we went trick-or-treating to Lee's (the local grocery store) with Grandma, Heidi, Annaka and Whit and her kids.

It's hard to wait to eat the candy!

Then that night we went to Trunk-or-Treat for the first time.  We dressed Morty up as Elvis and let him come too.  I couldn't believe how many kids were there!  We ran out of candy quick!
Ali doesn't care much for candy, so the highlight for her was going the opposite direction of everyone else and waving at everyone.  She ended up with about 12 pieces of candy, and I think she only ate 1.  Crazy girl!

Halloween Party 2013

We had our annual Halloween party a little early this year so that people from out of town could make it.  The weather was fantastic (look at how green our yard is!)

Unfortunately a suit of armor made out of cardboard does not protect you against random Stuart attacks.

27 Weeks

Ok, so I'm getting my information from bump.com on what size this little baby is each week.  I don't know if I'm just finding the strangest sized fruit and veggies ever or what.  But our little girl is supposed to be the size of a rutabaga this week... last week she was the size of a head of lettuce, this week she apparently shrunk (I'm sure our birthmom doesn't agree with that).  Unless rutabagas are bigger than lettuce?  I can't say that I really know... I don't even know what to do with a rutabaga.
Anyways,  this week her lungs are developing like crazy and she's still growing!  Yay!

26 Weeks

This week sweet baby girl is the size of a head of lettuce.  Her eyes are forming this week and she'll start to grow eyelashes. :)
On a side note, I cut up last weeks cauliflower and took it to a family dinner.  My sister, Annaka, asked if she was eating the 'baby cauliflower'.  I have to admit it's strange cutting up the food after taking a 'baby' picture with it!

Moab!

We loaded up the camping trailer, atv, dirt bike and family and headed down to Moab for 6 days!  Stuart's brother Michael, sisters Helen and Heather and her family came.  It was tons of fun!!!

Ali wore my gloves for a bit...she really loves gloves these days!

We went on a trail that was nasty.  It was too hard to be fun.  We're all glad to say that we did it once, but that's enough! :)

 

The views were amazing though!

These cliffs are SO SO high! 

Stuart was his usual amazing self and did all of the difficult parts.  He was nicknamed 'Ironman' because he was fearless.  How would it be to be amazing at everything you try?!?

After riding the trail I understand this sign... and I also admit that I am not an expert with endurance!

On the way back we stopped at Gemini Bridges.  They are amazing!  Can you see me in the picture?
