Just Like That...

We got our lawn put in today!  I couldn't be happier!!!  We had such a great turn out from our family, neighbors and ward!  We had 16 people show up to help us and we got all of the sod laid in 1 1/2 hours!  Yay!

(There is a tree planted in that circle in the backyard... it's more of a stick for now, but it will grow..... right?)
Our sod was 1 hour late, so we were pretty excited to see it show up!

Paul and Matt, our first two helpers.

The first few pieces being laid!

I had to put Ali on it to test it out!

She was very appreciative!!

A few of our awesome neighbors/family/ward that came to help out!!!  Thanks everyone!

So Sleepy

We are trying to get Ali to use a bottle/sippy cup while sitting up.  Stuart decided to try and see if she would do her bottle in her high chair before bed.  She was soooo tired!  She kept almost falling asleep while trying to drink the rest of it.  Since she was so sleepy Stuart was holding her arms that were holding her bottle.  I sure do love this little girl!

Summer Fest!

We spent some time at Summer Fest a few weeks back.  We met up with some family there and had a great time looking at booths.

Ali got a balloon kitty made.  She thought it was pretty cool.

By the end of the day it didn't really look like a kitty anymore, but she still loved it.

Movie Buff

We took Ali to see the movie Brave this week.  She LOVED the popcorn!  She kept digging her tiny hands through it and was eating it by the handfull!  The movie kept her attention for the most part, but then she needed to have all of her parent's attention.  She kept sticking her face right in front of mine and Stuart's.  Then came the kisses.... already kissing in a dark theater....we've got our work cut out for us!

Birthday Bash!

Ali's cousin Lydia had her first birthday party today!  Ali had the time of her life!  When Ali had her first b-day party she was sick, so she must've been making up for the fun she missed today!

There was a bubble machine, she was in heaven!

The snacks were fruit and goldfish... a few of Ali's favorites!

Then she had a cupcake.  Usually this girl doesn't like sugar, but today she was all over that cupcake!

She even painted with the frosting a bit.

Then for some reason when she saw Stuart coming she shoved as much as she could in her mouth!  Maybe she thinks she isn't supposed to have sugar?

And here is the birthday girl!  So beautiful and happy!  We love you Lydia!  Thanks for inviting us to your big day!

Happy Father's Day!

Ali recorded a little Father's Day video for all of her Grandpa's!  She has 4 and didn't get to see any of them today.  But she loves them all!

Kitties

These cute little kittens will be ready to go home next week!  If anyone needs a cute, friendly, litter-trained kitten, let me know!  Their mother is an excellent mouser and very sweet.  I'm asking $10 each for them (just to guarantee they go to a good home!).
For some reason my labels didn't show up on some of the pictures.  Kitten 3 is the middle left picture and a female.  The bottom two unlabled kittens are kittens 2 and 4.

First Family-versary

Happy first family-versary to us!  A year ago today we took our sweet little Aliyah to the temple to be sealed to us!  It's so wonderful to know that we get to have this cute little girly FOREVER!  Ali and mom celebrated by getting pedicures (with Aunt Heidi).  Well, Mom got a pedicure and Ali got her nails painted by Mom at home.  I'm thinking this might just be a family-versary tradition! :)
We also got to go to another audiology appointment.  This is the second one in 2 weeks... bleh.  Apparently Ali isn't hearing well out of her left ear.  The only test they can do is a behavioral one where they play sounds and she is supposed to turn her head to the apropriate side.  When they try to hook her up to do the other tests it doesn't work because she breathes too loud.  Silly girl can't breathe quiet, she probably won't ever be great at hide and go seek!  I'm skeptical about her not hearing well out of her left ear.  She seems to respond fine to me on both sides, but who knows, maybe her right ear is compensating.  The good news is that her nerve is fine on both sides.  We will go back to the audiologist again next week (why not, right?) and do the test again to see if we get any better results.  Then it's back to the ENT doctor to see what's up.  Ultimately she might get a hearing aide on that side or require surgery.  I'm not too stressed about it because I really think she hears fine.  Ali is such a great sport about all the testing though.  She'll even sign 'more' during the test to have them play more sounds.  She's just so stinking cute!
Anyways, happy family-versary to us!  Life is grand!!!
